Guest Post: Fall Must Haves – thenellybean

Hi, guys! Today’s post is a bit different, as you can tell by the title it’s a guest post. I am so happy to have the wonderful Janelle (thenellybean) do this! She has been one of my favorite writers since joining WordPress, so be sure to check out her blog, you won’t regret it! Without further ado, here’s Janelle’s lovely post.
Everyone’s talking about that fall makeup look all over social media. It’s all about that burnt orange, autumnal vibe and pumpkin spice everything. This is arguably my favourite time of year, the way the leaves change colour is just so beautiful and why not get in on that when it comes to beauty? Here are some of my fall must-haves to help you nail that fall makeup look every single time.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Exorcism

Described as a “ripe blackberry” colour, I think this is the perfect shade for fall – would it even be a fall makeup look without a dark lip? A lovely balance between berry and vampy, turn heads with this and a soft eyeshadow look.

Morphe 35O Palette

I’ll say it – this is the fall eyeshadow palette of my dreams. Being a warm-toned gal, I have a soft spot for those colours on the far right, but this palette has such a beautiful selection of shades for all sorts of skin tones. Great for a sophisticated daytime look or a more dramatic evening look, this palette has you covered. Get the most out of it by filling in your brows with some of the ashy dark browns.

Marc Jacobs Air Blush Soft Glow Duo in Pale Petal/Peachy Rose

No fall makeup look is complete without a fresh, rosy glow. A stylish duo of two blush colours that complement each other, this is such a versatile addition to your makeup collection. The pattern was inspired by a Marc Jacobs dress, and this nifty compact boasts the addition of Japanese air powder that has undergone soufflage to create a soft, creamy texture that makes for easy blending. If that doesn’t ooze romance, I don’t know what does.

MAC Eye Pencil in Coffee

If you know me, you’ll know what a hoarder I am when it comes to brown eyeliner pencils. They give the eyes a soft definition that is much more difficult to achieve with black liner, and would be the perfect extra touch to an eyeshadow look created with the Morphe 35O palette. Alternatively, blend out across the lid or lash line for a smoky effect.

NYX Cosmic Metals Lip Cream in Elite
Metallic lips are all the rage this fall, and NYX is one of those brands that never fails to wow me with their lip products. Elite is a metallic deep brown with blue shimmer, and looks absolutely spectacular when paired with a fairly matte face and simple eye makeup. It might take a while to dry down but it’s totally worth it – that blue shimmer looks a lot better than it sounds. If you’re not much of a liquid lipstick girl but looking to branch out, NYX is the brand for you.

Over to you – what are your favourite fall makeup products? If you’ve tried any of the above, I’d love to hear what you think. Huge thanks to Emily for having me on her blog, please show her some love and check out her makeup tutorials – they’re awesome.
