Play! by Sephora – November 2017

Hi, guys! How are you all today? For those of you that don’t know, Play! by Sephora is a monthly subscription box from Sephora that offers 5 deluxe samples and one bonus, which is usually a fragrance. The box also included a collectible bag and a pass for 50 bonus points when you buy something in store. If you’d like to learn more about Play!, click here to be redirected to the Play! by Sephora website. As always, a follow-up review will be posted in two weeks. On to this months box!

Bag and pamphlet:

The bag is the typical Sephora bag, a simple white cloth with a black ribbon. It has a drawing specific to this box, “It’s Me O’Clock”. I think the bag is very cute and goes with the black and white/color me in theme of the pamphlet. It would be so cute it get fabric markers and color the bag in. The pamphlet is also, in my opinion, better than usual. I think the theme is cute and I love the “Pencil me out” section that offers the perfect excuses for staying in. I know I’ll be using  “I developed a food allergy.” next time I want to cancel 😉

Origins – Clear Improvement® Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores $27.00 USD for 3.4oz/100 mL

“What it is:
An ultra-purifying mask to deep clean and visibly reduce pores.

Solutions for:
– Dullness and uneven texture
– Oiliness
– Pores”

I’ve actually used this twice so far and I’m shocked I’ve barely put a dent in it. So far I really like it and I’m excited to keep trying it. Fingers crossed it’s better than last months face scrub!

Caudalie – Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum $49.00 USD for 1oz/30 mL

SO. EXCITED. I absolutely love their Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet and I am so so so excited to try this.

“What it is:
An oil-free serum that captures and continually diffuses water within the skin to restore its moisture balance and leave skin feeling soft and supple.

Solutions for:
– Dryness
– Dullness and uneven texture
– Uneven skin tone

If you want to know more…
This high potency serum will save dehydrated, dull skin. Powered by Caudalie’s exclusive organic grape water, the formula immediately reactivates the skin’s ability to retain moisture over time. Rich in Caudalie’s patented grape-seed polyphenols which provide antioxidant protection against UV rays and free radicals—a main cause of wrinkles—it is gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin. It’s also the ideal base for a moisturizer, allowing quick penetration to leave skin instantly refreshed, hydrated, and comfortably soft.”

Moroccanoil – Moroccanoil Treatment $34.00 USD for 1.7oz/ 50 mL

“What it is:
A versatile, argan oil-infused hair styler in a light formulation that can be used for conditioning, styling, and finishing.

Key Benefits:
– Detangles, speeds up blow-drying time, and boosts shine
– Improves manageability and controls frizz and flyaways
– Infused with antioxidant-rich argan oil and vitamin-rich linseed (flax) seed extract to help strengthen”

My hair is naturally curly so it gets fangled and frizzy very, very easily. Becuase of that I’m really looking forward to trying this product. I’m always looking for things to improve those two “issues”.

Marc Jacobs Beauty – Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara $26.00 USD for 0.32oz/ 9.5 mL

“What it does:
Experience ultimate volume and the look of thick, false lashes with Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara. The lash-maximizing, curvy brush places the most volume at the hard-to-reach center lash line, and the defining tip styles lashes for major drama. The super-concentrated black pigment delivers the greatest visual impact, and the Flash Volume Complex™ creates instant, smudge-proof length and volume in three strokes or less. Velvet Noir gives you the thickest lashes in one sweep. Apply Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara on its own, or layer with O!Mega Lash Volumizing Mascara (sold separately). Pair it with Feather Noir Ultra-Skinny Lash-Discovering Mascara and Lamé Noir Ultra-Glittering Mascara (sold separately) to style your lashes for every occasion. “

This mascara is this months spotlight product, meaning everyone got it in their box. I actually used this today when I did my makeup and I am really happy with how my lashes look! I don’t want to speak too soon but I think this mascara might have a permanent home in my collection.

SEPHORA COLLECTION – Ultra Shine Lip Gel in 04 Perfectly Nude $12.00 USD for 0.11 oz/ 3 mL

“What it is:
A lip gloss with a light-reflecting plumped shine inspired by gel nail polishes.

What it does:
Ultra Shine Lip Gel transforms lips with a gel-effect formula for a light-reflecting, plumped shine. Its ultra-light, sensorial texture is also hydrating.”

The day I got this I was wearing a nude lipstick so naturally, I layered this on. This stuff is so nice. Not sticky, the perfect amount of shine, it smells so good. It has light reflecting elements that make your lips look so plump. I’m really looking forward to using this will different lipsticks and seeing how it works out!

BURBERRY – My Burberry Blush $120 USD for 3.0oz/90 mL

“Fragrance Family:

Scent Type:
Fruity Florals

Key Notes:
Pomegranate, Rose, Jasmine”

I’ve gotten this sample before and it smells so good. I love Burberry fragrances and this is no exception.

Overall, I am so happy with this months box!
