November Favorites 2017 + Makeup Breakup

Hi, guys! November has flown by and before we know it it will be 2018! That’s just insane. I hope you guys have all had a good month, let me know what your favorites are this month!

BEAUTY

Marc Jacobs Beauty – Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara

OH MY GOSH, THIS IS SO GOOD! I received this about two weeks ago from Play! by Sephora. I usually wait to express my views on the products till I write the follow-up review but I absolutely love this mascara. I am fairly particular about mascaras. I want length, volume, it needs to be transfer-proof, extremely black, and the wand can’t be too big. This has all of those things. It just looks so good on the lashes, the formula is awesome. It’s not too dry, not too wet. It can be a bit on the clumpy side but that is so easy to fix, it’s not a big deal. This is a bit on the expensive side – a full size is $26. But they offer a mini for $14, which is actually less expensive (price per ounce) than the full size.

BECCA – Backlight Priming Filter Face Primer

I love this primer so much. I find that it adds illumination but blurs “imperfections” and fills pores at the same time. I received this in Play! by Sephora awhile ago so it’s almost gone, but I recently fell back in love. No doubt I’ll buy the full size!

I personally don’t love a glowing, illuminated, etc., look on my skin but I feel like using this under a mattifying primer is the perfect combination.

trèStiQue – Highlight & Perfect Multipurpose Stick in Maldives Luminescent

Such a good cream highlighter. It’s not too blinding, it’s not too subtle. It blends like a dream. I use this on days where I don’t have a ton of time to do my makeup. This always makes it look like I spent a lot of time doing it and I get a lot of compliments too!

Makeup Revolution – Soph Highlighter Palette

This highlighting palette is just so good. You can read a view review here, Sophdoesnails X Makeup Revolution Review and Tutorials. I love the baked shades, they blend out so easy, they are blendable. They are just perfect! I will say I’m not the biggest fan of the regular/non-baked highlighters. This palette has shades of pink, purple, gold, etc. that seem a bit unapproachable but once you use them they are actually subtle and beautiful.

This currently has 138 reviews on tambeauty.com and it has 4.9 stars out of 5. That’s insane. Try this out and I think you’ll be happy with it!

tarte – 4-in-1 setting mist – Rainforest of the Sea™ Collection

I wasn’t that impressed when I first tried this but I’m really liking it now. This is amazing for foiling eyeshadows, and I notice a difference in fine lines and pores when I use this! I still think it’s a bit too expensive but I really, really enjoy using it.

tarte – Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in royal, pop, genius, and vibrant

I recently picked this set up but it has since been discontinued. They are many blush gift offers this year so if you see a shade you like, check those out! Moving on, I love these so so much. I love the formula of all the tarte blushes I’ve tried and I love the colors. “Royal” is currently my favorite but I love them all. They are so beautiful on the skin and last forever.

ENTERTAINMENT

Taylor Swift – reputation

This album was so hyped and it lives up to the hype! I absolutely love it. My favorite songs are I Did Something Bad, Look What You Made Me Do and This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things. My only complaint about this is that it isn’t currently streaming, but I’ve heard it will soon!

Riverdale

I love, love this show. I binged it on Halloween (season one is on Netflix!) and just caught up with season 2. I will say some parts are overly predictable, corny, etc. but in the end, it’s a really good show and awesome for binging!

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp

I was so thrilled to see this on mobile phones! I loved Animal Crossing when I was a kid and have wanted to be able to play it on my phone forever. The format is a lot like regular Animal Crossing but the biggest difference is that you can travel to different towns instead of just having one. I personally prefer New Leaf but I still think this is so cool. I have deleted it because I spent way too much time on my phone, but if you liked Animal Crossing as a kid you will love this. I think I’ll have to play on my original Animal Crossing soon!

MAKEUP BREAKUP:

CAETLE® Light Green Mini Size Beauty Flawless Makeup Blender I hate this thing. So much.

The first time I tried this sponge I thought it was just fine, pretty good. A few months passed, I threw that sponge again and repurchased. That time I absolutely loved the sponge! It was so good, blended great, didn’t absorb much product, it was overall awesome. And only $0.99! I figured they made an awesome upgrade in the sponge. Then a month ago, I threw it away and repurchased (2 this time). Expecting to get the same awesome sponge, I was so disappointed. This absorbed all my product, make my foundation streaky and it just sucked.

With that being said, this product is way too unpredictable and I have thrown this sponge away. It’s only $0.99 but go for the Real Techniques sponge, it’s around $5 and it’s great! Unlike this sponge.
