Blogmas: Best 5 Under $5

Hi, guys! How are you doing today? I’ve seen a few “5 Under $5″s before and I loved them, so I wanted to show you guys some of my picks. I would like to say that with drugstore items you can always get them on sale. The best thing you can do if you want to save some cash is waiting for the sales. Wet N Wild goes 40% off at Walgreens etc all the time, Essence is on sale Buy One Get One 50% Off at Ulta right now, just to give a few examples. Plus prices change place to place, so do some research and it will really save some money. Anyway, onto my picks!

Essence – Volume Stylist 18hr Lash Extension Mascara $4.99 USD at Ulta

Look. At. Those. Lashes.

Call me crazy, but they look pretty good. I’ve only recently tried this mascara but it is the bomb dot com. Without a doubt, one of the best mascaras I’ve tried in general, let alone from this price point. This adds length, volume and it stays on all day. You can also say goodbye to “raccoon eyes” because this mascara does not transfer to the under the eyes. Yay! I’d chose this over many $20+ mascaras any day.

Wet n Wild – MegaGlo Contouring Palette $4.99 USD at Ulta

I use this every single time I do my makeup, no exception. This just gives such a good contour, it’s insane! Dulce De Leche is amazing for fair/light-medium skin tones. The formula is impeccable. There is a slight bit of kickback from the pan, but that does not bother me. It’s just the perfect mix of cool and warm and contours my face perfectly. See below for product use

I’ve only used the matte highlight side a few times, I don’t love it. There is not a single thing wrong with it, I just don’t use those type of matte highlights. I have used it a few times to soften my contour and it worked well for that.

Overall, without a doubt, I will buy this again and again AND I will buy it for my pro kit.

Rimmel London – Stay Matte Powder $3.99 USD at Target

Gosh, this stuff is so good. Pretty much everyone has heard of it, and most people have tried it. It’s simply amazing. This adds longevity, matteness, and a smooth finish to your makeup. It’s a powder that doesn’t look powdery. And it is such a good price! This is another item I’ll buy over and over again and buy my pro kit.

Wet n Wild – Coloricon Blush $2.99 USD at Target

I have ever color and I love them all. This blush really packs a punch, it has so much pigment. It lays well on the skin, lasts for quite some time, it’s just lovely. This is definitely one of the best blushes from the drugstore. Pearlescent Pink is supposed to be a dupe for NARS Orgasm blush so maybe try this out before splurging!

Essence – Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara $2.99 USD at Ulta

This brow gel is amazing. I bought this when Benefit’s Gimme Brow was voluntarily recalled and I wanted a replacement. So many people suggested this to me and I absolutely love it! I was going to do something like “Battle of the Brows: Gimme Brow vs Make Me Brow” but they are literally exactly the same so I felt like there was no point. You can not tell this difference between this and Benefits Gimme Brow.

This leaves my brows in place all day, with a beautiful tint. I will definitely be buying again and probably stocking this in my pro kit.
