Blogmas: HUGE Declutter/Empties

Hi, guys! Welcome (back) to Blogmas! Over the past few months, I’ve been saving beauty/lifestyle products I’ve been wanting to declutter or have emptied. Here are the results! I always love reading these so I hope you will enjoy this. I will start doing these every season too!

SKINCARE:

Garnier® – SKINACTIVE™ Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Waterproof Makeup Remover & Cleanser

This is an extremely popular micellar water, in a formula specifically for waterproof makeup. I bought a back up shortly before running out but I’m kind of over this product. It’s good but I just don’t love it, you know what I mean? Also, it says it contains no oil but it feels so oily during/after use. I’ll definitely finish this bottle but I don’t see myself buying it again. What’s your favorite micellar/ eye makeup remover? Let me know, I’d love to try a few out!

Rating out of 5: 3.5. Effective, not my favorite.

Will I repurchase/recommend? I’m sure there are better micellar waters out there but I don’t think you’d regret buying it and it does the job just fine.

Biore – Deep Charcoal Cleanser

I bought this because I LOVE Biore strips. They clean your pores great and honestly who doesn’t love to see all the gunk that was in your pores? Instant satisfaction. Sadly, I don’t love this as much as Biore strips. I feel like this dried my skin out a bit and really only worked well on spots. If you have really oily skin this would probably work better for you but I’m just not a fan. I do think it cleaned my pores well but I’d sooner spend my money on pore strips.

Will I repurchase/recommend? I don’t see myself repurchasing. It’s an okay cleanser, but I think you can find better and their pore strips are just better.

Biore – Baking Soda Cleanser

I really dislike this cleanser and I’m pretty sure it broke me out. I don’t feel like this cleansed my skin well or thoroughly and a few days after using it I almost always broke out. If you really want to try one of Biore’s cleansers, go for the charcoal one mentioned above or just stick with the pore strips.

belif – The True Cream Aqua Bomb

I really, really love this moisturizer. It’s just lovely. If you have dry or parched skin I highly recommend this. I feel like it made my skin clearer and has really hydrated it.

Will I repurchase/recommend? I won’t be repurchasing soon because I’ve fallen in love with a different moisturizer, but I will probably repurchase if my skin is feeling really dry. I would recommend this to anyone with dry or combo dry skin.

Fresh – Rose Face Mask

This mask is amazing! It hydrates the skin and soothes it. If you have sensitive or dry skin I know you will love it! This is extremely cooling to the skin and I feel like it made my skin evener.

Will I repurchase/recommend? I absolutely love this and I will be repurchasing soon. If you have dry or sensitive skin I can’t recommend this enough!

Caudalie – Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet

Love, love, love this moisturizer! It’s become my daily moisturizer and I have nothing but good things to say about it. This instantly hydrates the skin and has made such an improvement in the texture and evenness of my skin. This has also made an improvement in my acne. I do think this is on the expensive side but it’s honestly so worth it.

SEPHORA COLLECTION – Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover

I received this sample in a Play! by Sephora box and I just didn’t like it. This removed my makeup fine but left such an oily residue behind and I’m just not a fan of it.

Will I repurchase/recommend? No, I think there are better removers out there.

MAKE UP FOR EVER – Ultra HD Skin Booster

This is a lovely serum but I think it’s overpriced for what it does. It’s lovely, hydrates the skin, improves texture. It’s very nice and worked well with makeup but I just think it is way overpriced.

Will I repurchase/recommend? No, simply because of the price.

Drunk Elephant – T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Night Serum

I feel like this made an improvement in the tone of my skin and it was very nice to use, but again I feel like this is overpriced. If you have mature skin this might be something to splurge on but otherwise.

Will I repurchase/recommend? I’ll pass, but it’s very nice and worth sampling.

Josie Maran – 100 percent Pure Argan Oil Light

This is such a good oil! I purchased this in a duo and have really enjoyed it. I think I prefer the original but the light is good too, I just feel like the original does more. After using this I notice my skin is radiant, smoother, hydrated and supple, and an improvement in texture.

Will I repurchase/recommend? Yes! Get it in a set, she has really amazing items.

CLINIQUE – Pep-Start HydroBlur Moisturizer

I tried this last year but just recently finished the last of it. When I first tried it I absolutely loved it but over time I feel like it is way too thick and just has a weird consistency. I also don’t feel

Will I repurchase/recommend? No, I’ll pass. Try the moisturizer I mentioned by belif or Caudalie.

MAKEUP:

 

Lip and eyeliners by various brands.

I need to replace my eyeliners so bad it’s not even funny. This is barely a dent in my liner collection. These I know for a fact are expired or I just don’t like them. Also getting rid of all of my fake Kylie Cosmetics lip liners, read more about it in the next item!

Will I repurchase/recommend? I like the eyeliners by Jordana but otherwise no.

FAKE Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits x8

I’m not sure all of the colors but I know they include Koko K, 22, Mary Jo K, Candy K, Dolce K and Kount K. They were the first 8 colors to launch I believe.

First, never buy fake makeup. I have no idea why I bought these, I think I just wanted a variety of colors and thought “hey, why not?”. I bought all of these on eBay for $15.99. These are so sketchy. Second, HORRIBLE formula. These are just so sticky. The colors of the lipstick don’t match the lipliners. They are steaky. I just don’t like these. However, I actually do like the lipliners and if they weren’t fake I’d probably still use them.

ULTA – Matte Lip Cream in Striking

Lovely lipstick color and great formula.

Maybelline Color Sensational Color Elixir Lipcolor (discontinued)

I loved this sooo much. I think I’m going to keep it for packaging sake but I’m really disappointed this was discontinued. It was quite ‘goopy’ but it was beautiful.

L’Oréal – Infallible Lip Paints in Sultry Sangria

I really love the color of this but the formula is disappointing. It’s very streaky and unpredictable. Also not a fan of the applicator.

SEPHORA COLLECTION – Kiss Me Balm in Strawberry Fizz

A regular lip balm but with a really pretty tint. Good for no-makeup makeup days.

Will I repurchase/recommend? You’re not missing out on anything if you don’t buy it. But it’s nice.

The Estee Edit – Flash Photo Gloss (discontinued brand)

I received them in a Play! by Sephora box when this brand first came out and never really liked it. It’s expired and didn’t make my teeth any whiter, like claimed. It was also quite sticky and never really laid right on lipsticks.

e.l.f. Cosmetics – Lip Exfoliator in Clear

Love this exfoliator! It makes your lips so soft and lipsticks look so good after using this. I can’t recommend this enough!

Maybelline New York Volume XL Seduction Lip Plumper – Seductively Nude

Nice lip plumper, but there are better ones. It’s discontinued but still available on Amazon.

Will I repurchase/recommend? Try the plumpers by Too Faced or GrandeLips!

So. Many. Lipsticks.

Really need to buy new lipsticks… the majorities of these are great!

Will I repurchase/recommend? Maybelline Color Sensational, YES! Wet N Wild Matte Lipsticks, YES! CoverGirl and Rimmel lipsticks are good. Otherwise no.

Bitzy – Custom Palette Compact

Nice compact, decluttering because I have more than 4 single eyeshadows. It’s kind of bulky too.

Will I repurchase/recommend? If you only have a few single eyeshadows.

Benefit Cosmetics – Watt’s Up! Cream-to-Powder Highlighter

Lovely highlighter, decluttering because I just don’t reach for it enough and it’s almost expired.

Wet n Wild – ColorIcon Ombre Blush in Mai Tai Buy You A Drink

Lovely blush! Some people have given this a bad review but I think they are lovely. They are shimmery, which a lot of people don’t like. But I think these lay lovely on the skin and give a healthy sheen.

SEPHORA COLLECTION – Teint Infusion Foundation

I just really dislike this foundation. I used it a few times and it just looked horrible on my skin. It had little coverage and looked so gross and cakey. I kept trying this out over an over and I’m just over it.

MAKE UP FOR EVER – Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer

Nice primer, but I like many primers better than this one.

Urban Decay – Quick Fix Hydracharged Complexion Prep Priming Spray

Love this stuff! It’s a really nice spray and makes a great primer if you are in a hurry. Plus, it smells like coconuts!

SEPHORA COLLECTION – The Romantics Palette (discontinued)

This was a really nice palette that contained ‘basic’ neutrals but all in shimmer.

Maybelline – Expert Wear Eyeshadow

Lovely single shadow! They offer a good amount of shades at a great price and good formula.

Bobbi Brown – Eye Opening Mascara

Clumpy and weird. I liked it okay at first but this just really clumps and looks weird on the lashes. Formula isn’t great either.

Too Faced – Totally Cute Palette

Lovely palette! I don’t love all the shades but the three base shades are lovely, and some of the eyeshadows (orange, brown, pink, green.) are good. Not a fan of the purple and blue but otherwise this is a great palette!

Will I repurchase/recommend? Yes! It was limited edition so it’s sold out, but you can find it on Amazon and eBay right now. Highly recommend it

PERFUME:

philosophy – Amazing Grace Eau de Toilette

One of my favorite perfumes! Absolutely love this fragrance. It’s so soft and floral, it just smells lovely.

One Direction – Our Moment

This was a Christmas gift two years ago or so and wow, sprayed this awhile ago and forgot how strong it was. I’m sure it’s expired and it’s way too strong for me.

Taylor Swift – Wonderstruck

This is so expired, I’ve had it for like 5 years. I remember it being a lovely fragrance through!

BODY:

Lucky You – Glitter Body Lotion

This is a nice lotion and I loved it a few years ago because GLITTER! I’m so it’s expired by now.

Nivea – In-Shower Nourishing Lotion

Oh my, gosh. This stuff is sooo good. You put it on in the shower, rinse and your skin becomes so hydrated. I can’t recommend this enough, it is just amazing.

Wal-mart dupe: Dolce Gabbana – Light and Blue

I bought this on a whim for my gym bag. Long story short I don’t go to the gym anymore and never liked this fragrance.

OnTek – Water-Resistant Bluetooth Shower Speaker with Mic and Controls

I wanted to list this simply because I loved it so much and it would make a great gift for someone or yourself. It’s a really simply speaker for the shower/bath. I love listening to music in the shower and loved this so much. Unfortunately it broke but I would recommend it and repurchase.

HAIR:

Drybar – Detox Dry Shampoo

Hate, hate this dry shampoo. I’m not the biggest fan of dry shampoo but this is certainly the worst I’ve tried. You know how some come out white? This comes out nude. Random nude patches don’t look good on any hair color, let alone purple. This has fairly good reviews so I don’t know if it’s just me or what but it’s just bad.

Not Your Mother’s – Clean Freak Dry Shampoo

A dry shampoo I really like. This adds a lot of volume to the hair and really revamps it.

I don’t think this does anything, but it has a lovely smell.

This is a nice mask but I don’t think it makes enough of a difference to spend $36.00 for a full size.

Schwarzkopf- Osis Twin Curl

My hairdresser gave this to me and I love it! I’m really sad this has been discontinued but I’ve found products to replace it.
