BH Cosmetics Zodiac Palette Review

Hi, guys! As you can tell by the title, today I’m reviewing the Zodiac palette by BH Cosmetics. This palette is pretty new to BH Cosmetics, it just launched on November 13th. I purchased this the day it launched and I’ve been using it almost every day since receiving it. I have to say, I really love this palette. It has some flaws but overall it’s one of the bests I’ve tried from this price point. I’ve never tried anything from BH before but I’m excited to try some more of their products.

I am in no way affiliated with BH Cosmetics.

Buy the palette: Zodiac – 25 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette $21.99 USD, currently on sale for $16.49 USD

Packaging:

The packaging is lovely. It comes in a protective sleeve that is the same theme as the palette itself. The palette is black with holographic writing and a bit of a space theme/layout. Opening the palette I LOVE the layout. It comes with a medium size mirror inside, which is a bonus. You could say it’s excessive packaging but I think it’s lovely and completely goes with the ‘zodiac’ theme.

Performance:

Oh my gosh, the shimmers are so good. Calling them a shimmer honestly doesn’t do justice. They are like a glitter but easy to work with. They are incredibly pigmented and the colors are just gorgeous. I use my finger instead of a brush, just because I feel that applies the pigment better. They are so creamy and foiled. I mean just look at those swatches, how could you not fall in love? They are really one of a kind, I can not say enough good things about them. If you love glitter/shimmer shadows, this is an amazing palette for you.

The highlighter is quite nice too. It’s really icy and pigmented. I love applying it to my brow bone and inner corner. It makes a great face highlighter too. It’s very buildable, creamy and pigmented.

IMG_2393As far as the mattes go, I’m a bit disappointed. They are very inconsistent. They are either amazing or they are patchy and want to build up in certain places. When they start going patchy they just aren’t worth your time. I’ve had to remove my eye makeup simply because they got so muddy/patchy etc.

But when they work, they are amazing. I think these generally work better with a base shadow underneath. Otherwise, I’m not sure why they are so inconsistent.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, I am in love with this palette. Without a doubt, I will buy for my pro kit. I will continue to use this and I will update you guys if I learn a trick on how to work with the mattes. If you like glitter/shimmer eyeshadows, this is a must-have palette and I can’t recommend it enough.

At $21.99 (currently on sale for $16.49) this is such a good deal. They shimmers are amazing and I could easily see these being sold for $5 each. The highlight could easily be sold for $10. Plus, the palettes expiration is 24 months after opening, compared to the normal 12. You are already getting a lot for your money and this just extends it.

Rating out of 5: 4.5

Will I repurchase/recommend? Yes! This is one of the best palettes I’ve ever bought.

What’s your zodiac sign? What’s your favorite shade?

  1. While I find the packaging of this palette is a bit bulky, the layout of the shadows is so visually stunning. I haven’t used BH a lot either, although I do own one of their palettes. Those shimmers definitely look so nice! I love the shade Pisces!

  2. I love the glitter so much! It’s a shame that the matte shades aren’t that pigmented. It looks like such a beautiful palette though!

  3. This palette really reminds me of a limited edition Kat Von D Palette, which I can’t recall the name of. I’m really on the fence given your opinion of the matters, but for $16.00…I don’t necessarily mind buying this just for the shimmer shadows 😂
