Blogmas: Ulta Haul Follow Up Review

Hi, guys! It’s been a few weeks since my haul and here are all my opinions about what I purchased. Check out the original post here, Ulta Haul!. I really hope you enjoy this and let me know if you’ve tried any of these!

Ahava – Facial Renewal Peel Sachet $3.50 USD ea

I used this two nights ago and it made my skin feel so soft! I feel like it really brightened my skin and overall I enjoyed this mask. I don’t know if I’d repurchase again but I really enjoyed it.

Essence – Eyeliner Pen Waterproof $2.99 USD ea.

I’ve only used this once and to be honest I really hated it. The tip is designed poorly. I went to apply the eyeliner and the very back of the felt tip kept touching my lid. I tried to fix it but it just turned into this huge mess and I pretty much looked like this.

Maybe I was just having an off day so I’ll try it again, but for now, it’s a hard pass.

Essence – Satin Touch Blush in Satin Love 20. $2.99 USD ea.

Such a nice blush. I really love the shade of this and it goes on very well. I think this price is amazing, I know high-end blushes that don’t perform this well. I’m definitely going to pick up other shades from this line.

Essence – Volume Stylist 18hr Lash Extension Mascara $4.99 USD ea.

This mascara is fabulous! I mentioned it in Blogmas: Best 5 Under $5 and have really loved using it. I ended up giving it to my mom as an early Christmas gift and she loves it too!

This mascara just gives great length, curl and volume to your lashes. I highly recommend this to anyone, the price is amazing and the formula is even better.

Makeup Revolution – Blushing Hearts Blusher in Peachy Keen Heart, Candy Queen of Hearts and Peachy Pink Kisses, $3.49 USD ea.

These blushes are a bit on the shimmery side of things but they are really nice. They give a beautiful color to the cheeks and are quite longlasting. I’ve found myself using these more as a blush topper and eyeshadow.

Makeup Revolution – Blushing Hearts Highlighter in Goddess of Faith and Goddess of Love, $3.49 USD ea.

I actually prefer these to the blushers. These highlighters are absolutely gorgeous and so pigmented. They blend well, look amazing on the skin. I don’t have a single complaint.

Swatches of MR blushers and highlighters:

Makeup Revolution – No Photos Please Slogan Palette, $3.99 USD ea.

I mentioned in the original haul post that they didn’t include the eye primer that was supposed to be included, but I got in touch with their customer service and they issued an eGift card!

Overall I’ve only used this a few times but I have enjoyed it. There is a ton of fall out/crumble but the colors are nice and considering the price, I’m not disappointed. I will definitely continue to use it and might even use it for an upcoming tutorial.

Real Techniques – Filtered Face Set $49.99 USD ea.

Oh my gosh I love these so much. I am so happy that I bought these. I’ve used them pretty much every day since I received them. The sponges are AMAZING. I love the complexion sponge (orange) and the mini eraser sponge (purple). I find the complexion sponge to be the perfect size for doing foundation, concealer, any cream product. The mini sponge is amazing for concealer and cream/liquid highlighter. I have the mini beautyblender and I like prefer the mini sponge so much more. If you’ve been considering splurging on the beautyblender, I would try these sponges first.

As far as the brushes go, they are equally as amazing. I haven’t really used the foundation brushes yet because I love the sponges so much but they seem really nice. I love the contour brush and the setting brush is perfect for under the eyes. All of the eye brushes are great.

The brush “cup” is nice but I prefer to keep my brushes in a bag, so it’s not a ton of use to me but I will use it for office supplies etc.

I have no doubt I’ll be using these for years to come and continue to purchase brushes from RT. I actually liked this set so much I bought another holiday set from them, Bright Eye Set, which I love. I can’t recommend these sets or this brand enough.
