Hi, guys! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, Hanukkah, Festivus, Kwanzaa and any other holiday you celebrate. I just want to say a quick apologie to people/friends that I follow, I haven’t looked at my reader in days BUT right after posting this I will read all of your lovely posts.
For Christmas Eve my parents and I went out to eat at a hibachi style Japenese Steakhouse with my sister. It was really good and overall a fun experience. I wish I took some pictures but I didn’t, just take my word for it that it’s something everyone should try at least once.
Then we went to my sister house, opened some presents, had dessert, talked and went home. When we got home my parents, Ruby (my dog) and I each opened a few gifts and watched a movie or two. In the morning we opened the remaining presents and stocking stuffers.
I have been completely ‘spoiled’ this year! I got a lot of makeup, gift cards, face masks, etc. So many items I really wanted. Some of the highlights are earrings from Kate Spade, a portable closet, Sephora gift cards, tons of makeup included my favorite lipstick and setting spray, Pixiwoo’s “Face” book, and really nice candles that when burned all the way will have a surprise ring! I also received so many face masks, I could use one a day for the rest of my life and not run out haha. I’ve been extremely blessed and I am so thankful for those gifts and spending the day with my family.
I was going to make a whole Blogmas post about what I gifted people but there was a ton of gifts this year and it would have been a bit hard to do, I’m actually glad I didn’t. Some of my favorite items I gifted are

Shortly after gifts, we had coffee and my mom and I sat at the table and had “coffee talk” Coffee talk is our thing. Every morning we sit at the table, drink coffee and just talk. Usually, I’m doing most of the listening but I love it. By then it was around 11 am or so, we decided to eat at noon and sat down to play games. We played “Frogger” on one of the original systems, it was one of my dad’s gifts.
After that, I started making peppermint bark. I make it every year and it always so good. When I was finished preparing that my mom and I made bread pudding. We both love it and she wanted to teach me how to make it this year. Doing that became one of my favorite Christmas memories and I hope we make it next year.
We ended up eating around 3 pm, there was so much food! We had ham, stuffing, cranberry sauce, Aunt Haddie salad (no one knows who Aunt Haddie is but it’s a delicious dessert), grits, bread pudding, and pecan pie. Everything was awesome and I can’t wait to have ham sandwiches today!
After that, we pretty much lounged all day and overate, as most people do. We ended up finding a show on Netflix, binged the whole show in one afternoon and went to bed at midnight haha. It was a great day. The countdown is on until next year!
If you’ve followed my blog since mid-November/early December, you would have seen I participated in Blogmas. 24 days of posting. I have no idea how I managed that and I am so proud that I did. I ended up running out of scheduled posts on day 6 or 7 and was writing every post on the day it was posted. I didn’t get to post everything I wanted to but I am really happy with how it turned out. I will definitely be doing it next year (and planning ahead, haha)!

I’m blown away that I have 255 followers, I can’t even imagine having 1,000! I feel like this is a good goal for me though. The views will be a lot harder but I still think I can do it, nevertheless, it’s a good goal. 10 points

I have done three, one was a collab, one was a friend writing a post on my blog and one I did was a guest post for another blog. I really enjoyed doing them and I want to do more in 2018.

Oh gosh, I’m so bad about this. Late summer/early fall I started posting three times a week and my life became very hectic so I started not being able to schedule them as often and I miss it so much. Not having scheduled posts is so stressful. 2 points

I think it’s important to speak more than one language and I’ve always wanted to learn Spanish, so why not? I’m not expecting to be fluent by any means but I’d like to be able to hold a half decent conversation. 8 points
I am currently enrolled in two courses at my school, QC Makeup Academy. Both will result in me being certified (eeek!) and I can’t wait to complete them. I was trying to graduate one by Christmas but I feel like January/February is more reasonable. The other course (SFX) I would like to graduate by Thanksgiving. 10 points each.

I’d like to attend the school of my dreams, but I don’t qualify for loans at this time so I would need to win a scholarship in order to attend. I have a few in mind and fingers are crossed! 2 points ea.

I’m really not happy with my weight right now and I love losing weight. I always feel so good when I do and I need to start losing weight again. I don’t have a weight in mind, I’d just like to be healthier. 1 point per pound.
I love working out and I need to start doing it again. There’s a gym just around the corner so I’ll give that ago. 5 points.
Be more outgoing
I’m a kind person and I feel like unfortunately, I let people “run over me”. I want to be more outgoing, more outspoken and not let people treat me poorly. 15 points.

Start driving again
I used to love driving so, so much. One of the last times I was in the car, a ‘backseat driver’ started yelling at me and since then my confidence has been a zero and I haven’t driven. I need to do and I miss it. 20 points
