Makeup Tutorial: Drugstore Anti Valentine’s Day

Hi, guys! I hope you all are well! Yesterday I did a smokey, vampier approach to Valentine’s day makeup and today I’m doing an ‘anti’ approach to Valentine’s day makeup. For some reason today I just really wanted to play with lilac and purple tones so here we are, haha. I was going to keep this quite in theme with Valentine’s day but I decided to add a pop of teal, go more editorial and it was quite off from a Valentine’s day look. Nevertheless, I absolutely love it! I will have a pink themed, cut crease look coming tomorrow or on Valentine’s day, so keep an eye out for that. Without further ado, here’s a tutorial on how to recreate this look. Also, let me know if you have any plans for Valentine’s day, I’d love to hear about it!

TUTORIAL:

Step one: Apply a lilac/lavender cream eyeshadow all over the lid, blend above the crease.

Step two: Apply a mauve shade to the crease, blend. This acts as a transition.

Step three: Apply a lavender shade all over the lid.

Step four: Apply an eggplant/dark purple shadow in the crease, blend upward. With this look, blending is really important. Make sure all shades graduate into each other.

Step five: Apply a cream teal to the inner corner. Also, apply to the inner third/half of the lower lash line.

Step six: Apply a darker teal shadow to the very inner corner, this will add depth.

Step seven: Apply navy eyeshadow to the lash line, to act as eyeliner.

Step eight: Apply black mascara to the top lashes and purple to the outer half of the lower lash line. Fill in your eyebrows.
