Hi, guys! How has your week been so far? I hope well! A few months ago I wrote Blogmas: Best 5 Under $5, you guys really seemed to like it so here I am with Best 10 Under $10. There are so many good products but these are some that I absolutely love and think everyone should try.
Let me know if you’d enjoy a 15 under $15!
These vary in prices and the ones I’ve listed may not be the most inexpensive, so I do recommend shopping around for the best price if you see an item you like.
Please excuse the excessive use of words/phrases/etc like “OMG”, “love”, “I love it so much”, “highly recommend”, “amazing” and overuse of exclamation points and capitalization. I genuinely love and get so excited about all of these products.
Also, keep in mind that everyone’s skin and preferences are different, you might hate something on this list while I love it. I do think everything on this list is worth trying and I do think they will work for others, or I wouldn’t be writing about it. Without further ado, here are my 10 picks!
Real Techniques – Sculpting Brush
$9.99 USD on Ulta.com.
This brush is amazing. If you know me or have been reading my blog for awhile, you know I absolutely love Real Techniques and I use them every time I do my makeup. This is definitely one of my favorite brushes from them. I just got it as a gift a few weeks ago but it has a huge place in my heart.
This is sold as a sculpting brush but it is amazing for foundation and just about anything for the face. It sculpts perfectly, blends concealer out great, gets hard to blend areas around the nose, it leaves a beautiful finish, I just can’t say enough good things about it!
Maybelline – Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder
$7.99 USD on Ulta.com.
Do you want your makeup to last longer, be crease free, and not look the slightest bit cakey? This powder is for you. I have had nothing but a good experience with this powder. It sets my makeup perfectly! I have little to no fine lines but foundations and concealers always want to crease on me, particularly around my ‘laugh lines’. After blending in foundation or concealer I’ll set it with this soon after and it doesn’t crease throughout the day. This is one of the best, if not the best, loose powder I’ve ever tried and definitely the most inexpensive. I highly recommend this to anyone who struggles with creasing, I think this will reduce or prevent it for anyone.
I use shade Fair Light which is great for my under eyes and setting my T-Zone, I would go a shade darker for my full face. I have heard that the shades run a bit dark so do keep that in mind while choosing a shade.
Used in: The majority of my makeup looks/tutorials over the past month, but here’s a highlight – Tutorial: Lady Gaga Grammys 2018.
NYX Professional Makeup – Micro Brow Pencil
$9.99 USD on Ulta.com.
This item is very popular and for good reason. The tip of the pencil is super fine and creamy, which makes it easy to apply. It comes with a spoolie on the other end for blending/combing your brows. This brow pencil is great for filling in sparse areas, lasts all day, and is so affordable! It’s one of my favorites for brows and if you haven’t already, you should try it.
Used in: A ton of tutorials.
e.l.f. Cosmetics – Cream Eyeliner
$3.00 USD on Ulta.com.
I love these eyeliners so much! First, they are so inexpensive. Second, they are so multi-purpose. I use this for eyeliner, of course, but they are great for eyeshadows. I have the shades Teal Tease and Black, I find Teal Tease great for eyeshadow. Black is great for eyeliner and face painting/drawing. Something that shocks me every time I use these are they are SO creamy. It’s unbelievable. The slight “con” about these is that they expire/dry after about 3 months, but considering they are only $3, it’s not a big deal. Also, the brush is horrible, again, not a big deal.
Used in: Black – Halloween 2017: Lace Mask Tutorial. Teal Tease – Makeup Tutorial: Drugstore Anti Valentine’s Day.
SEPHORA COLLECTION – V for V.O.L.U.M.E. Mascara $10.00 USD on Sephora.com.
This isn’t under $10, but it’s exactly $10 so I’m counting it anyway. I absolutely love this mascara. Not only does it add volume and length, but the coloring is beautiful! I love ‘blue’ and it is unlike any other blue mascara I’ve ever tried. It gives such a beautiful pop of color to the lashes.
See!? It’s amazing. I highly recommend it if you into editorial makeup or just want to add a pop of color on nights out.
Used in: Makeup Tutorial: Bold New Years Eve Look, pictured above.
Ardell – Natural Lash – Black 110
$4.99 USD on Ulta.com.
These lashes are simply gorgeous. Ardell lashes are some of the best I’ve tried. They are really easy to work with and they just look so beautiful. 110’s are my favorite but they offer a variety of styles, you can’t go wrong with whichever you get.
I recommend buying in a deluxe pack, I couldn’t find one for this style on Ulta.com but they are only a dollar more and you get another pair of lashes, lash glue, and an applicator.
Used in: A few tutorials, mostly Halloween and recreations, but here’s a highlight – Tutorial: Lady Gaga Grammys 2018.
e.l.f. Cosmetics – Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in St. Lucia, $4.00 USD on Ulta.com.
I’ve used and loved this duo for years and recently fell back in love with it. The bronzer looks amazing on the skin and the blush is really nice as well. I especially love this duo for travel or to pack in a purse, I love to put a bit of bronzer in the crease and the blush on the lid. It also has a good sized mirror in it which again makes it great for travel!
Used in: Makeup Tutorial: Drugstore Anti Valentine’s Day.
e.l.f. Cosmetics – Powder Blush Palette
$6.00 USD on Ulta.com.
Anyone that knows me knows I love blush and I really love this palette. It’s a great compact size with a huge mirror and four different shades. They are all so beautiful and different from other blushes I own. They have such a lovely finish to them! I also love to use these as eyeshadow.
This comes in Light and Dark, they don’t sell Light on Ulta.com but I do recommend it. I personally prefer Dark because I like the shades better.
e.l.f. Cosmetics – Lip Exfoliator
$3.00 USD on Ulta.com.
Do you want baby soft lips? This is for you. This makes your lips so soft, greats rid of any dead skin, and after using this anything you put on your lips looks amazing. This is so inexpensive and I think it’s essential to any skincare routine. It’s also in a convenient lipstick bullet which makes application easy peasy.
Maybelline – Color Sensational The Loaded Bolds Lip Color
$7.49 USD on Ulta.com.
In my opinion, Maybelline makes the best lipsticks at the drugstore and The Loaded Bolds are my favorite from them. These are so creamy and rich in pigment! They look so beautiful and I have absolutely no complaints about these. I think everyone should try at least one shade, I’m sure they’d like it.
Used in: Collab/Tutorial: Olivia Culpo Golden Globes 2017 (Grey Over It and Gone Griege).
Have you tried any of these items? What do you think of them?
