Clarisonic Mia 2 Review

Hi, guys! I hope you all are well today. For today’s post, we are talking all about Clarisonic. Specifically, the Mia 2 and how I use it. If you are a skincare or makeup lover, I’m sure you’ve heard of the brand but if you haven’t, Clarisonic is a popular cleansing device. Many people love it and swear by it. To learn more about Clarisonic, click here.

I’ve heard many makeup artists, estheticans, dermatologists rave about this and I’ve been wanting to try it forever. I haven’t until now simply because “how great can it really be?” and the price tag. One day I noticed it was a QVC Speical Value so I decided to go ahead and get it. Here’s my experience and review on the Mia 2.

This review is not affiliated with Clarisonic.

The set I bought is no longer available. It was a QVC Speical Value of the day. The set included the Mia 2 facial sonic cleanser, two Radiance brush heads, two Deep Pore brush head, Sensitive brush head, pLink adapter and an AC wall adapter. The Mia 2 I bought came in a limited edition LOGO by Lori Goldstein® print.

The Mia 2 currently retails (without a sale, coupon, etc) for $169 USD.

How I Cleanse:

First things first, I wash my hands. Always do this before cleansing your skin to keep things clean. Then I’ll dampen my face with warm water, this opens pores. Next, I will dampen the Radiance brush head again with warm water, then I pump non-foaming gel cleanser on the center of the brush head. Then I use the Clarisonic, usually on setting 2 (normal), following the timer. To finish I rinse my face using a damp, warm facial cloth. Then I wash the brush head and follow with my skincare. Squeaky clean!

My Results:

I did not take a before and after, but there has been a big difference in my skin. Before using the Clarisonic, I had combination skin, redness, some hormonal acne and I washed my face using a non-foaming gel cleanser and warm facial cloth.

I would say from the first use to two weeks of using Clarisonic I noticed that my skin was looking really radiant and just felt cleaner, but not stripped. I also feel that my pores have shrunk slightly and have been very clean. I still have redness but I think it has improved. About a week ago I noticed that my skin looked really frim and healthy. I would say that my skin looks the best it has in a long time, if not ever. I feel like my skin has gone from combinaion to more normal. I think it is thanks to a good skincare rountine, including the Clarisonic.

Ease of use: 10/10. So easy. It’s practically effortless. It is so user friendly. The Clarisonic has an awesome 60-second T-timer function. 20 seconds for your forehead, 20 seconds for your nose, chin, upper lip and 10 seconds per cheek, then it turns off. It also has two speeds to chose from, low or normal.

It holds a charge very well, besides the inital charge, I’ve only needed to charge it once. It does take a long time to charge, overnight or longer but I’m fine with that.

Skin improvment: 10/10. I’ve seen more improvement than I expected, in a short time than expected, I feel like it’s really done wonders for my skin and I am very happy with the results.

Brush heads: 10/10. They have brush heads ranging from every skin type to sentive skin to mature skin to acne skin. They are very sentive and don’t really irritate my skin.

They do recommend changing the brush head every 3 months, for sanitary purposes. Of course, don’t share the brush head with someone else. Brush head prices vary but the start at $27 USD. If you buy them in a bundle they are less expensive and it’s nice to have them on hand.

Makeup removing power: 8.5/10. I think this is pretty good for removing makeup. It removes nearly all makeup but sometimes I do feel like I need to go in with an additonal makeup removing liquid. Of course, you can’t use this on your eyes. They recommend removing eye makeup then using your Clarisonic.

Overall: 9.5/10. Overall, I think the Mia 2 is superb. I highly recommend it to anyone, in any age range, with any skin type. It is expensive, it is an investment, but I do think it is worth every penny.

Of course, keep in mind everyones skin is different. Everyone will see different results. But based on mine, I recommend trying this out.

I also recommend checking out the Mia 2 page at Clarisonic, you’ll find out some more information about Mia 2 and it’s honestly just ashtonishing – click here.

I bought mine from QVC because it was a great deal. I recommend buying the device from QVC or Clarisonic, they have the best deals. Since it is an expensive investment, try using a cashback site like Coupon Cabin or eBates. They usually list sales/coupons too. This is a great device to have and it is worth saving up for.

  1. Amazing review, I love the packaging of this one, it’s so pretty and I am impressed at how good it made your skin look. I cannot use a brush for now cause of my acne treatment, but I hope to try it out in the future!

  2. There have been so many great reviews about different clarisonics. I think it is finally time for me to try it, especially this version.

  3. I used to love my clarisonic but I got so lazy with repurchasing the brush heads so it just sits there 😦 I feel like it’s an amazing investiment but it gets so pricey overtime where there are products like the foreo that you never have to replace. I have the pink one but yours looks amazing! I love the blue swirly colour 😀

  4. I love my clarisonic so much! Please be careful with the deep pore brush head, as it’ been known to pull the skin more aggressively than is recommended. The sensitive brush head is my fave and I use it all the time!

      1. That’s true! I didn’t think about the repurchasing of the brush heads! Skincare is way expensive, but it’s for a good cause I guess. 😂
