My Palette Collection – Spring 2018

Hi, guys and Happy May Day! I hope you all are having a good day so far! For the past few months, I’ve been wanting to show you an updated makeup collection. I thought including both palettes and makeup would be way too long of a post, so I put a poll up on Instagram and almost everyone voted to see my palette collection first, so here we are.

EYE PALETTES

Anastasia Beverly Hills – Empty 4 Well Refillable Eye Palette

Shades (from left to right): MAKE UP FOR EVER – I-544, From Coastal Scents: Bright Neon Pink, Vibrant Green (discontinued or out of stock) and Electric Blue (discontinued or out of stock).

This palette was only $1 and I was $1 away from a special offer, so I bought this! It’s a really nice palette but I’ve filled it with some random shades. The MUFE shadow is nice but I never find myself reaching for it. The Coastal Scents shadows are really nice, I kept them because I wanted to have them but I rarely use them. CS has really nice shadows for the money.  According to the website, they (Hot Pots (eyeshadow singles) are actually on sale right now for .99 cents USD, until 5/4/2018 at 11:00 AM EST. I’m not affiliated but I wanted to let you guys know about the sale.

Make-up Designory – 4-Hole Eye Color Empty Palette

Two weeks ago I attended an open house for a school I would like to attend, they had a few giveaways and I was lucky enough to win this palette (and a lipstick)! They use the MUD brand for makeup kits so I’m excited to try them, I’ve never heard of MUD before. I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet but I’m looking forward to.

Makeup Revolution – Slogan Palette No Photos Please

I bought this palette from Ulta on a whim but it is really good! Very crumbly, but very pigmented. Every time I use this I’m happy with how my makeup turns out.

Would I recommend? Yes!

Wet n Wild – Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Palette in Rosé in the Air

I love this palette. It is so good! I love shade 1 (top pan) for a transition shade or for contouring. I love shade 2 (bone shade, under 1) for softening shadows and highlighting the brow bone. Nearly every shade in here is great. My only complaints are that some of the shadows run patchy and I wish the shades had names. If you’d like to know more, check out my review!

Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Palette in Comfort Zone.

I have a love-hate relationship with this palette. It’s a really random palette but it’s a nice palette. Some of the shades are awesome, some of them are pretty poor. I don’t think it is a must-have. I like the Rosé in the Air palette way better and use it more. Check out my review for more information.

Makeup Revolution – Reloaded Palette in Newtrals 2.

I bought this palette for my birthday and I haven’t been disappointed! I’ve only used it a handful of times but the shades are very soft, blendable and pigmented.

I really wish this palette had names for the shadows but so far that’s my biggest ‘complaint’. I’ll probably post a review on this soon.

Would I recommend? If you like the shades.

Makeup Revolution – Reloaded Palette in Division.

Again, I bought this for my birthday and I haven’t been disappointed! I haven’t played with all the shades yet but I really like this palette and I find myself reaching for it a lot. I really love the yellow, khaki and gold shade. I haven’t tried the darker shades but if they perform anything like the shades I have tried, I’ll be in love!

Like with the Newtrals palette, I wish this had names. I feel weird and confusing to list “Row 2, Shade 2” in a makeup tutorial. I’ll probably post a review on this palette soon, too.

Would I recommend? So far, yes! I love the shades I’ve tried.

Makeup Revolution – SophX Ultra 24 Eyeshadow Palette

I love this palette, I think it’s awesome. This was one of the first products I tried from MUR and it wasn’t the last! I think the mattes are great and the shimmers/metallics really steal the show. They blend well, very pigmented, all of that good stuff. I do think these work way better when you apply the shades with your fingers. The price is great and I don’t think you’d regret buying it.

Urban Decay – Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette

Note: I’ve linked this palette to Urban Decay’s page but I’ve seen this on Nordstrom Rack if you are interested in buying it.

I really like this palette! I was lucky enough to win it in a giveaway a few months ago. When I was first starting out with makeup I dreamed of owning a Naked palette so it makes me really happy just to see it in my collection. The shadows are really nice quality and I love to reach for this palette. I don’t use it a lot but I remember how much I love it when I do.

Would I recommend? Yes, if you need a neutral palette.

BH Cosmetics – Galaxy Chic Baked Eyeshadow Palette

I bought this around Thanksgiving and I honestly haven’t used it as much as I want to. I really like the shades, I just don’t reach for them much. I need to change that. I know so many people love this palette!

BH Cosmetics – Zodiac 25 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette

If you know me or have followed my blog for awhile, you know I LOVE this palette! I think it is simply amazing. The shimmers are out of this world! They are like a glitter. They are so creamy and easy to work with. I just love them. I reviewed this in December and mentioned I wasn’t a fan of the mattes. I’ve played around with them a few times and they worked a lot better, so I’m not sure if they weren’t working well with my brushes or what. Overall, I love this palette and it’s one of my favorites. If you try one palette from my collection/recommendations, try this one.

Would I recommend? YES. If you like glitter/shimmer/metallic shades, it’s a must-have.

Morphe – 35O2 Second Nature Eyeshadow Palette

Can we talk a minute to just stare at the beauty that is this palette? It’s so beautiful! This is another palette I bought for my birthday and haven’t played around a lot with so far. Shortly before buying this I read Makeup By Erin‘s review and I was sold. I’ve been looking for a good red eyeshadow forever. I’ve used the red and oranges in the second row, a few transitions and I LOVED them! Based on those few shades alone it’s worth the price tag. If you are looking for a highly pigmented red shadow, try this palette.

Would I recommend? Yes!

Kat Von D – Shade + Light Eye Contour Quad in Plum

I love this palette. My mom bought it for me a year ago or so and I’ve just loved it ever since. The shadows are so creamy and pigmented, they blend really well. I just feel like every time I wear these shadows my eye makeup looks so good and well blended! This palette (and other shades) goes in and out of stock at Sephora all the time, but if you can find it, grab it, you won’t regret it!

Would I recommend? If you can find it.

Makeup Revolution – SophX Highlighter Palette

I LOVE this palette. If you want/need to try a new highlighter, get this palette. IT’s amazing. Blendable, creamy, pigmented, awesome color section, a color for every skin tone and affordable! What more could you want?

MAC – Pro Palette Large / Duo

I’ve had this palette for a year or so to depot lipsticks. I don’t use it that much anymore because I deleted one side of the palette, the lipsticks on that side were a bit old. I’m not really into depoting lipsticks anymore either. But I really like this palette and I love these lipsticks!  If you’d like the name of any of the shades just leave a comment.
