Hi, guys! Today I’m doing a collab with the lovely Mira Belle. She has an awesome lifestyle and culture blog, so make sure to check it and her skincare post out! She came up with the idea of doing our skincare routines, which I thought was a great idea. I guess I’m a bit nosy but I love seeing what products other people use and hopefully finding some new ones to try! I’d also like to say that I recommend all of these products and they work great on my skin. They may not work great for you, they may work better for you, everyone’s skin is different. I have sensitive combination skin, leaning to the dry side right now. I really hope you guys enjoy this and maybe find something you’d like to try out!
Skincare is one of the first things I do in the morning. I start by using a cotton round to apply Garnier® SKINACTIVE™ Micellar Cleansing Water. If I missed makeup from the night before or need to remove an overnight treatment this works great. Next, I’ll wash my face with a washcloth and my favorite cleanser – Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash. I love and swear by this cleaner because it is so gentle on the skin and it can be used on the eyes! It removes everything and makes my skin feel so refreshed. Then, I’ll apply the Neutrogena® Alcohol-Free Toner, using cotton rounds. It’s not my favorite but it definitely does the job, it’s almost out so I’ll pick up my favorite Pixi® skin treats Glow Tonic soon. I’ll finish the toning/cleaning portion of my skincare by using e.l.f. Acne Fighting Gel. This is completely clear on the skin, sinks in and makes a huge difference in any acne!
Moving on to serums, moisturizers, and all that fun stuff, I’ll start with serum. I’ll use Vichy Mineral 89 or Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum. Both work well on my skin especially since it’s dry due to winter. Next, I’ll use my favorite moisturizer, Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. It really helps with dryness and redness. Then, I’ll use an eye cream. Sometimes I’ll use Acure Organics Eye Cream but I usually stick to CaudalieVine [Activ] Energizing and Smoothing Eye Cream, which is amazing! I’ll finish my morning routine with a bit of Carmex.
My night and morning routines don’t vary too much – night just has deeper cleaning and more treatments. I start with an oil, The Face Shop Facial Cleanser Rice Water Cleansing Oil – this is a newer step that I’ve added so I’m still testing it but so far so good. Next, I’ll cleanse with Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash using my LAVO Giro Facial Cleansing Brush. This brush is amazing! It cleans the skin well and I feel like it gently exfoliates at the same time. I’ve also noticed a huge improvement in my acne since I’ve started using it. After rinsing I’ll use Garnier® SKINACTIVE™ Micellar Cleansing Water if there is any eye makeup yet to be removed, but usually, the Purpose soap removes it all. Next, I’ll tone my skin using the Neutrogena® Alcohol-Free Toner. I’ll finish this part of my routine with Serious Skincare Dry Lo Spot Treatment Acne Medication. This stuff is amazing! It’s like the e.l.f. the treatment I use in the morning but hardcore, this pretty much clears up or makes a huge dent in any ance overnight.
My moisturizing/serum/etc. routine is almost the same as the morning, but I do try to add an extra step for more hydration. I’ll start with a serum, Vichy Mineral 89 or Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum. Next, I’ll apply my beloved Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet, shortly after I’ll apply CaudalieVine [Activ] Energizing and Smoothing Eye Cream. I like to apply Urban Decay Quick Fix Hydracharged Complexion Spray or Josie Maran 100 percent Pure Argan Oil afterward because I feel like they add an extra step of hydration/good stuff for your skin. When my skin is drier I’ll opt for the oil and when it’s oiler I’ll opt for Quick Fix (which makes an awesome makeup primer, btw!). I always finish with Carmex.
Microdermabrasion System Trophy Skin – Love, love, love this machine! It’s very expensive but worth every penny. I use this once every week or so. It clears out pores, evens the complexion, helps with fine lines, tightens skin, exfoliates, it’s just amazing.
This is quite an investment but microdermabrasion treatments by a professional are $90+, so it’s well worth it. I have also been using this on my mom (mature combination sensitive skin) who has a good amount of hyperpigmentation/sun spots and there has been such an improvement in her skin! I wish I had a before and after because it’s made such a difference for her.
Dr. Brandt Skincare PoreDermabrasion™ Pore Perfecting Exfoliator – I received this in October’s Play! by Sephora box and it breaks me out if I use it all over, but this actually is really nice to shrink pores on the nose. I like Biore’s better and I wouldn’t recommend this, but it helps with the size of pores and cleans them out a bit. I use this once every week or two.
Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips – I use the nose and face strips once or twice a week, they work wonders for blackheads/whiteheads.
Dermal Korea Collagen Essence Mask Sheet – I received these for Christmas and I love them! Collagen is one of my favorite ingredients for skin care and these always provide great results. I use these once or twice a week. I use a few other face masks too, I won’t be listing them all, I decided to list these because I haven’t seen them talked about and they defiantly deserve to be.
e.l.f. Cosmetics Lip Exfoliator in Mint Maniac – I use this 2-3 times a week to exfoliate my lips and they always feel so nice afterward! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a lip exfoliator.
Gel Bead Eye Mask – I use this anytime I’m doing a sheet mask and when my eyes feel puffy. It feels so nice and relaxing! I can’t find a link to the one I use but they are sold at Amazon, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc.
I hope you guys enjoyed this! I love reading posts like this and finding out about skin care items. What’s your holy grail skin product(s)?
